Our Beliefs

Scriptures

The Bible, including both the Old and New Testaments, in the original autograph is the inerrant,
infallible and inspired Word of God. These Scriptures are the final authority in all matters of faith
and practice. The Bible reveals God, the fall of man, the way of salvation, and God's plan and
purpose in the ages. (II Tim. 3:16; II Peter 1:20,21)

Sovereign God

There is but one God, Jehovah God of the Old Testament is Jesus Christ of the New Testament
and the Holy Ghost in the believer today. Jesus Christ is the only saving name for our day. (Deut.
6:4-7; Eph. 4:5; Acts 4:12; John 10:30)

Sin

Man was created in the image of God but fell through sin, bringing not only physical death but
also spiritual death, separation from God. Now all mankind is totally depraved, having inherited a
sinful nature, bent toward sinning, and has become sinners by practice in thought, word and
deed. (Gen.1:26-27; 2:16-17; 3:6-19; Romans 3:10-23; 6:23)
Sacrifice

The Lord Jesus Christ, as son, suffered and died as a substitute for us at Calvary. He arose from
the dead in the body in which He was crucified and His blood is efficient for us today. (Luke 24;
Acts 1:9-11; Romans 5:8-10; Eph. 1:20-23; I Peter 3:18)

Salvation

Man is lost and must be born again to enter the kingdom of God. Salvation comes through the
birth of the Water and the Spirit. Repentance, baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and
the infilling of the Holy Ghost, speaking with other tongues, is the New Testament plan of
salvation for all mankind. The Holy Spirit enables men to live without sin in this present world.
(John 3:5; Acts 2:38; Acts 2:4; Romans 8; Romans 12)

Communion

We believe in Footwashing and Literal Communion as a church ordinance and therefore
essential in the New Testament economy. (John 13; Luke 22; I Cor. 11)

Sign-Gift Ministry

We believe the ministry is five-fold consisting of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and
Teachers. The nine spiritual gifts of I Corinthians 12 are for the church today.  (Eph. 4:11; I Cor.
1:12)

Divine Healing

Divine Healing by God was purchased by the stripes of Jesus Christ, therefore, healing for the
body is in the atonement and God is our healer. (Isaiah 53:5; James 5:14)

Church

Even though every believer is in the church by virtue of the new birth (Acts 2:47), every local
church is independent, and the local pastor is the highest church office on this earth. (Heb. 13:17)
